Oldsmobile Custom Installations
In 1887 R. E. Olds developed a steam powered car, 10 years later He opened the first Olds car manufacturing facility (located in Lansing Mich). Then in 1900 the name Oldsmobile was used for the very first time. In 1949 they introduced the ‘Rocket V8’ engine, which corresponds with their long time Rocket themed logo. Interesting fact, the classic Olds 442 didn’t have a 442 CID engine, the 4.4.2 stood for 4 barrel carburetor, 4 on the floor (four speed transmission), and 2 for Dual Exhaust. Here is a link to an Olds collector club site that hosts a nice history section Here is some example Oldsmobile custom installations we have done so you can see for yourself.
